One person died in a collision Sunday night in unincorporated Sonoma County west of Sears Point, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The collision was reported at 9:10 p.m. on Lakeville Highway near the intersection with state Highway 37, which is also known as Sears Point Road, Officer Eric Anderson said.
UPDATE 11/6 Driver arrested for murder after five-car fatal Lakeview Highway crash.A traffic alert was issued at 9:25 p.m. as southbound Lakeville Highway near Highway 37 is closed because of the collision.
CHP officials said they have no estimate for when the southbound lanes of Lakeville Highway will reopen.
Traffic is being diverted onto Stage Gulch Road.
