The Salvation Army today will provide meals, emotional and spiritual care to residents going home to Santa Rosa, Salvation Army officials said.
Joye Storey, Salvation Army Del Oro Division emergency disaster services director, said in a statement:
“This may be a difficult time and emotional time for those residents, and one of our main aspects of our services is to provide spiritual care. We want to listen, and if possible, also pray for them too.”
The Salvation Army is still serving meals at several remaining evacuation centers in Santa Rosa. The organization’s members have served more than 70,000 meals to evacuees and first responders in Sonoma County.
