San Jose shaken by 4.1 earthquake

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was reported Monday evening near San Jose, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 5:53 p.m. about 12 miles east of downtown San Jose, USGS officials said.
