Fire evacuations extend into Solano County

Several areas of west Solano County, near where the Atlas fire is burning in Napa County, were ordered to evacuate Monday night, according to Fairfield police.
A mandatory evacuation was issued for residents along Joyce Lane and Twin Sisters Road, located northwest of Fairfield, police said.
In addition, residents in areas along Green Valley Road have been ordered to evacuate as well as all homes on streets off of Green Valley Road, north of Rockville Road, and west of Green Valley Road from Mason Road to Valley End Lane, police said.
Residents on the west side of Suisun Valley Road from the Napa County line south to Rockville Road, and residents north of Rockville Road from Suisun Valley Road to Green Valley Road are also ordered to evacuate, Fairfield police said.
The Atlas Fire started around 9:20 p.m. Sunday off Atlas Peak Road south of Lake Berryessa.
As of 8 p.m., the fire had burned 25,000 acres, according to Cal Fire officials. At least two people have been reported dead in that fire, Cal Fire officials said.
