A suspect is in custody after a woman fought him off when he broke into her home in San Francisco’s Telegraph Hill neighborhood and grabbed her early Friday morning, police said.
The 28-year-old suspect allegedly burst into the 26-year-old victim’s bedroom in her home on Hodges Alley around 1 a.m., according to police.
She was able to fight the man off and he fled on foot, police said.
The woman called police, who responded to her home.
Based on the description given by the woman, officers were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody, police said.
Another woman was also at the home at the time but was not involved in the confrontation, according to police.
