Officers with the Petaluma Police Department responded Friday at 6:55 p.m. to See’s Candies at 333 S. McDowell Blvd. on a report of an armed robbery that just occurred.
A store employee told police a suspect entered the business, pulled a gun from his backpack and demanded money from the employee.
The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police described the suspect as a man, 50 to 55 years old and wearing a blue button down shirt with a black shirt underneath, blue jeans and a blue baseball hat. He was also wearing a green backpack.
Responding officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
