Giants to open 2018 at Dodgers

The San Francisco Giants have announced their 2018 schedule. And for the ninth-straight year the stands at AT&T park will be empty on Opening Day.

The Giants will open the 2018 season on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers with a four-game series starting March 29. In seven of the last eight seasons, the Giants have opened on the road against either the Dodgers or the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Immediately following the Dodgers series, the Giants will return to AT&T for their home-opener against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday, April 3. Following that two-game set, the Giants will stay in the Bay as the Dodgers and Diamondbacks come to San Francisco for three-game sets.

2018 Interleague opponents include AL West teams, with six games against the Oakland Athletics. The Bay Bridge Series will take place July 13-15 at AT&T Park and July 20-22 at the Oakland Coliseum.
