Bicyclist severely hurt running into stopped car

A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday night when he collided with a vehicle in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

The 55-year-old bicyclist was riding south on Jones Street near Eddy Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. when he struck a vehicle that was stopped for a red light, police said.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No arrest has been reported in the case.
