Woman killed by bus she just exited
A woman was fatally struck by a bus almost immediately after getting off of it Thursday evening in Santa Clara.

A woman was fatally struck by a bus almost immediately after getting off of it Thursday evening in Santa Clara, according to police.
Around 6:20 p.m. officers responded to a bus stop in the vicinity of El Camino Real and Railroad Avenue and found a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority bus stopped at the scene.
The victim exited the bus using the middle doors, began walking away, then turned around and chased the bus before falling down and being struck.
She suffered major injuries. The victim was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
