Bay Area suspects in Chicago murder arrested

A man accused of being involved in a homicide in Chicago last month has turned himself in to San Francisco police.

Andrew Warren, 56, allegedly turned himself in to the San Francisco Police Department’s Park Station, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Another suspect in the case, identified as Wyndham Lathem, 42, was also taken into custody and is reportedly being held in Oakland, according to a spokesman with the Chicago Police Department. Details about Lathem’s arrest were not immediately available.

Chicago police had been seeking the pair in connection with the death of a man found on the morning of July 27th in the 500 block of State Street in Chicago.

The arrests ended a nationwide manhunt for the pair following the issuance of arrest warrants for first-degree murder in Chicago earlier this week, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was found unresponsive and with several lacerations on his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Chicago police said.

Both suspects will be extradited to Illinois.
