A man sprayed people with a fire extinguisher in a Divisadero Street restaurant on Tuesday after he was prevented from stealing food, San Francisco police said.
The 30-year-old man walked into the restaurant in the 500 block of Divisadero Street just before 10 p.m., walked behind the counter and attempted to steal food, police said.
Restaurant employees threw him out, but he returned with a fire extinguisher and sprayed the entire restaurant, hitting three people with the spray.
The suspect ran out, but appeared in another restaurant minutes later and broke a drinking glass and attempted to contact one male victim with a knife, police said.
The suspect, whose identity was not released today, was taken into custody.
Police said none of the victims were injured in the incident.
