Muni bus strikes, injures pedestrian

One person was hospitalized Monday evening in San Francisco after they were struck by a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency bus, according to a spokesman with the transit agency.

The incident occurred at 5:57 p.m. near South Van Ness Avenue and Mission Street, according to Muni spokesman Paul Rose.

The bike rack of a 47-Van Ness outbound bus made contact with a pedestrian. The bus was traveling at a low speed at the time, Rose said.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital as a precaution, according to Rose.

No other injuries were reported and the incident did not result in any delays, Rose said.
