A driver fled the scene after hitting a man crossing Market Street in downtown San Francisco on Wednesday night, police said.
The 50-year-old victim was crossing Market Street at New Montgomery Street around 11:15 p.m. when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The driver fled and was last seen traveling east on Market Street.
The victim was taken to a hospital but is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
