Bicyclist hurt in rush-hour crash on Cesar Chavez

A bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision in San Francisco’s Mission District on Monday morning, police said.

The collision occurred around 8 a.m. in the area of Cesar Chavez and Alabama streets, according to police.

A 29-year-old man was driving west on Cesar Chavez Street when he attempted a turn and struck a 25-year-old man on a bicycle, police said.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No arrest was reported in the case as of Thuesday morning.
