Firefighters responded to the 7400 block of Lockwood Street near 73rd Avenue around 2 a.m. on reports of a residential fire.
Upon arrival, several people told firefighters that a child was still trapped inside the home. Firefighters found the child in the back of the building, and they were rescued and taken to a hospital in serious condition.
According to fire officials, firefighters were able to put the blaze out in about 20 minutes. The cause of fire is still under investigation.
