A man was shot as he sat in a parked car south of AT&T Park Sunday night, police said Monday.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was sitting in a parked car with another person in the area of Pier 48, a parking area south of the baseball park, around 11 p.m. when he was approached by a male suspect.
The suspect walked up to the car and fired at the two people inside, injuring one man, according to police.
The injured victim got out of the car and ran while the other victim drove away in the car.
Police located and arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the shooting, but did not immediately release his identity.
