Officers arrested 61-year-old Nelinda Cabellero of Menlo Park on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, corporal injury to a spouse and attempted homicide, according to police.
At about 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a medical call at a home in the 200 block of Terminal Avenue, police said.
Upon arrival, officers determined that a domestic assault had occurred in which the suspect, Cabellero, stabbed her partner with a kitchen knife numerous times, according to police.
The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life threatening and underwent surgery.
Cabellero was booked into the San Mateo County Jail, police said.
