The shooting occurred at about 6:45 p.m. on the highway’s northbound lanes near Story Road, CHP spokesman Ross Lee said.
Information about the extent of the victim’s injuries was not immediately available.
The CHP had shut down all northbound lanes of the highway at Tully Road. The closure was moved to the state Highway 280/680 split, according to Lee. All southbound lanes are open.
