Driver crashes into Concord convenience store

A driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal Monday and drove a car into a gas station convenience store on Willow Pass Road in Concord, police said.

The car ended up breaking through the am/pm store’s glass doors and came to a rest inside without injuring anyone, Concord police spokeswoman Cpl. Summer Galer said.

Drugs or alcohol aren’t suspected to be factors in the crash, Galer said.
