4.2 quake shakes north Sonoma County

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported at the northern edge of Sonoma County late Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was reported at 4:57 p.m. roughly 24 miles north of Santa Rosa, just three miles outside of the unincorporated community of Cobb in Lake County.
