A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Berkeley Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported just before 8 p.m. on Highway 80 near Gilman Street.
Arriving officers found an unresponsive man at that location as well as a blue Hyundai. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
