Suspect sought in connection with armed robbery at Safeway

At 9:40 p.m. officers went to the Linda Mar shopping center because the robbery had just occurred.
Police said the suspect, who appeared to be wearing a mask that covered his or her whole face, entered the room where the safe is and took out a gun.
The suspect took an undetermined amount of money and left the store in the direction of state Highway 1.
The suspect appears to be a man. Surveillance video shows the person wearing glasses, a gray or tan shirt and black pants.
Police Capt. Chris Clements said officers are still finding out how the suspect got into the room where the safe is.
