An Antioch man was sentenced to four years in prison Tuesday after he was convicted of possessing child pornography, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.
According to prosecutors, the conviction stems from a multi-agency investigation of Jason Judkins after in January 2016 he created an Internet posting that he was willing to trade his son for sex.
Deputy District Attorney Jeff Kolko said at the time of the posting, Judkins was coincidentally being investigated by police at the Antioch Marina for a parking infraction.
During a search of his vehicle, police found evidence of child pornography along with emails in which Judkins distributed images to others, prosecutors said.
Kolko said Judkins was immediately arrested, and investigators determined he did not have a son or access to children.
According to prosecutors, Judkins created the posting so others would exchange child pornography with him. He had two prior convictions for possession and distribution of child pornography, and had been a registered sex offender since 2012.
