Gun recovered at scene of shooting on T-Third train

Police recovered a gun at the scene of a shooting on the San Francisco Municipal Railway T-Third light-rail line in the city’s Dogpatch neighborhood Thursday afternoon after a fight between passengers.

One person was grazed by a bullet on a train in the 2400 block of Third Street at 1:56 p.m. following a fight between passengers, according to police spokeswoman Grace Gatpandan.

A second person was injured in a related fight prior to the shooting.

Both were taken to a hospital, one of them with a gunshot wound, police said. Muni spokesman Paul Rose said both were listed in stable condition.

After the shooting, police increased the presence of uniformed and plainclothes officers on mass transit in the area, Gatpandan said.
