Armed men beat, rob people in Excelsior home

A group of armed men beat and robbed several people at gunpoint in a home in San Francisco’s Excelsior District on Friday night, police said.

Police were called to a home in the 300 block of Naples Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. on a report of a home invasion robbery.

One victim, a 37-year-old man, told police he was in the garage with a friend when he went into his room and found another victim, a 21-year-old man, with two armed suspects standing over him.

The suspects grabbed the first victim and hit him with a handgun before taking his belongings.

When a third resident, a 67-year-old man, returned home during the incident, the suspects pushed him to the ground, kicked him several times and struck him with a hard object before fleeing south on Naples Street.

The 37-year-old man and the 67-year-old man were both hospitalized, but are expected to survive their injuries.

Items stolen during the robbery included a bracelet, ring, wallet and cellphone.

Police said they are searching for four men in their late 20s, but have not released detailed descriptions. No arrests were reported in the case as of Monday morning.
