The suspect was reportedly involved in an armed robbery at the Verizon store on East El Camino Real, police said.
Officers took two suspects into custody Thursday night but were unable to locate an additional suspect.
The search focused on the area of Costa Mesa Terrace and Corte Madera Avenue.
Police said officers located a handgun in the suspects’ vehicle.
The police department reported the search over on Thursday at 10:43 p.m.
