CHP identifies driver killed in crash
The California Highway Patrol has identified a driver who died in a solo vehicle crash near Angwin early Sunday morning as 25-year-old Christopher Stanton of Windsor.

The California Highway Patrol has identified a driver who died in a solo vehicle crash near Angwin early Sunday morning as 25-year-old Christopher Stanton of Windsor.
A preliminary investigation indicates Stanton was driving a 2000 Acura south on Howell Mountain Road near Linda Falls Terrace in unincorporated Napa County when the car veered off the road, struck a tree and caught fire around 3:35 a.m., according to the CHP.
Stanton was unable to escape the vehicle that was engulfed in flames when CHP officers and firefighters arrived. The CHP is investigating the crash.
