Highway 880 lanes reopen after collision

All lanes have reopened in the northbound direction on Interstate Highway 880 at Whipple Road in Hayward, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At 1:05 a.m., CHP received a report of a 3-vehicle collision.

Northbound lanes were closed and diverted off to Whipple Road and a Sig-alert was issued. One person was sent to a hospital.

All lanes are open and the Sig-alert has been cancelled, according to CHP.
