Unconscious man wakes up, reports life-threatening injuries

A man on Tuesday reported being assaulted earlier this month in San Francisco’s Silver Terrace neighborhood when another man punched him during an argument, police said.

The assault took place at about 8 a.m. on Jan. 12 under the U.S.

Highway 101 overpass at Bayshore Boulevard near Interstate Highway 280, according to police.

The victim lost consciousness and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

A man believed to be in his mid 40s, who is still at large, is a suspect in the assault.

The victim lost consciousness until Tuesday when he woke up and made the report. His injuries are no longer considered life-threatening, Officer Giselle Talkoff said.
