Police recover stolen car, arrest transient

Police recovered a stolen vehicle last week outside a hotel in Milpitas, police said.

At 9:08 a.m. Wednesday, an officer noticed an unoccupied gray 2009 Chevrolet SUV with temporary license plates in the parking lot of the Heritage Inn located at 378 W. Calaveras Blvd.

The officer checked the SUV’s vehicle identification number and learned that the vehicle was reported stolen from San Jose on Dec. 5.

When a man returned to and entered the vehicle, officers approached and made contact with him. The man was identified as 32-year-old Juan Pose Palomera, a transient from San Jose.
