Woman arrested for alleged stabbing over parking space

A 21-year-old woman from San Francisco allegedly stabbed an 18-year-old woman during a dispute over a parking space at 7-Eleven in San Mateo Monday evening, according to police.

The stabbing was reported around 6:30 p.m. Monday, but the caller was uncertain of the location. Dispatchers determined that the victim was at the convenience store, in the 600 block of East Third Avenue.

Responding officers found the victim with cuts on her arm and hand. She was taken to a hospital.

Police allege the suspect, Jessica Greenbaum, approached the victim and started an argument while she was still sitting in her car – then attacked her with a knife and fled the scene in a Volkswagen.

Greenbaum later called dispatch and turned herself in. She was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats.
