The man was already at the hospital when police were alerted to the shooting at 6:30 p.m., police said. He told investigators he had been shot in the area of 44th Avenue and International Boulevard.
The man is in stable condition and is expected to survive his injuries.
Police provided no information about a motive or possible suspects for the shooting.
