I-880 off-ramp reopens after crash, spill

The Interstate Highway 880 northbound off-ramp at Mission Boulevard in Fremont is now open after a hazardous material spill closed the ramp Thursday morning.

At 12:57 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received a call about a crash involving a truck.

According to the CHP, a box truck carrying sulfuric acid crashed into a guardrail, resulting in a hazardous material spill.

There was only one driver in the vehicle and no injuries were reported.
