No injuries reported in two-alarm house fire

Firefighters successfully extinguished a two-alarm fire that spread quickly through a Palo Alto home early Friday morning, fire officials said.

At 5:02 a.m., firefighters responded to a home at 2126 Louis Road after receiving a report of a house fire possibly involving a person trapped inside, according the Palo Alto Fire Department.

Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that the home was on fire.

Crews immediately went into search and rescue mode, trying to find the person who was reportedly inside the home.

Firefighters soon learned however that all of the home’s occupants were able to safely evacuate and that no one was inside, fire officials said.

Firefighters were eventually able to knock down the fire and prevented it from spreading to other homes.

No injuries were reported, according to fire officials.

Firefighters believe the home’s Eichler-style construction, involving an open design and large windows, helped the fire spread faster than normal.

A cause for the blaze remains under investigation, fire officials said.
