Fire causes $200k in damage to house

A fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to a house in Santa Rosa early Wednesday morning, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded at 2:53 a.m. to a home at 4758 Annadel Heights Drive and found flames in the exterior rear wall and second-floor attic space of the structure.

A neighbor had reported the fire because the home’s residents were not there at the time, fire officials said.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 25 minutes with no injuries reported.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental and started in a corner of the garage, but a specific cause was not immediately available.
