Gabriel Holmes was pulled over for a mechanical violation in the 500 block of Redwood Highway Frontage Road between Mill Valley and Strawberry at about 10:30 p.m. Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.
The deputy searched the car and found a loaded semi-automatic firearm with two additional loaded clips. Holmes was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded and concealed handgun in a vehicle, sheriff’s officials said.
Holmes was taken to a sheriff’s substation where he was released on a citation to appear in court, according to the sheriff’s office.
