Coroner identifies driver killed in crash
The Solano County coroner's office has identified a driver who died in a crash west of Dixon on Wednesday night as George Bristol, 75, of Pescadero.

The Solano County coroner’s office has identified a driver who died in a crash west of Dixon on Wednesday night as George Bristol, 75, of Pescadero.
Bristol was driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma north on Meridian Road south of Sweeney Road around 8 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Bristol failed to negotiate a left hand curve and the vehicle left the road, became airborne and struck the north embankment of a drainage canal, CHP officials said.
Bristol was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:28 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
