One person died Friday morning on eastbound state Highway 24 in Oakland when their minivan crashed into a center divider, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash involving a Dodge Caravan was reported at 8:49 a.m. on Highway 24 just east of the state Highway 13 undercrossing and before the Caldecott Tunnel, Sgt. Ed Clarke said.
The roadway has been cleared.
