Berkeley shooting victim in critical condition
A man who was shot just south of the University of California at Berkeley campus Saturday night is in critical condition.

A man who was shot just south of the University of California at Berkeley campus Saturday night is in critical condition, police said Sunday morning.
At about 11:08 p.m., several witnesses reported the shooting Dana and Haste streets.
Responding officers found a 35-year-old, mixed-race man lying in the middle of the street, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital, police said.
Police believe the shooting was not random, and do not know whether the victim is affiliated with the university. Officers are no longer at the scene, but continue to investigate the shooting.
The suspect remains at large, and no suspect description has been issued, police Lt. Alyson Hart said.
