A suspect was taken into custody by a SWAT team after a San Francisco police officer was injured in a shooting Friday night in The City’s Lake Shore neighborhood, according to police.
Around 9 p.m. police confirmed on social media that an officer was injured in the vicinity of Sloat Boulevard and Everglade Drive.
Then at 9:36 p.m. officers reported that they used a flash-bang grenade in an attempt to safely apprehend the suspect, who has since been taken into custody by the San Franisco Police Department’s SWAT officers, according to police.
Further details about the shooting and the officer’s current condition were not immediately available.
