Victim escapes Oakland attempted kidnapping
A female victim reported to police that someone tried to kidnap her early this morning in Oakland.

The incident occurred in the 800 block of 57th Street around 1 a.m., police said.
The lone suspect was armed with a handgun. The victim however was not injured, according to police.
No arrest was made and a description of the suspect was not available.
