A mother and son found dead from gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide at a Santa Clara home Friday have been identified as 89-year-old Eunice Corbin and 68-year-old Lee Corbin, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.

The elderly woman was the victim and the man was the alleged shooter, police said.

Officers had responded to a welfare check called for in the 1000 block of Las Palmas Drive near San Tomas Expressway around 9 a.m. Friday, police said.

When officers reached the residence they found two bodies, later identified as Eunice and Lee Corbin, in a room with gunshot wounds, according to police.

There aren’t believed to be any other suspects in the shooting, police said.

Investigators are looking into what led up to the shooting and are interviewing people who knew the mother and son, according to police.
