Police in Fremont are investigating a reported road rage incident involving the brandishing of a firearm that occurred Thursday, according to police.
Officers with the Fremont Police Department responded to a call from a driver saying that a person in a white Ford Focus was chasing them in the area of Fremont and South Grimmer boulevards, police said.
The caller told police the driver of the Ford was also pointing a gun at him while continuing to chase him.
Police said the caller then became uncooperative with police dispatch, provided few details, did not comply with directions from dispatch and refused to answer questions.
The caller stated the suspect vehicle was last seen on northbound Interstate Highway 680, before abruptly hanging up, according to police.
Several attempts were made to contact the caller, but the calls went to voicemail, police said.
Officers searched the area but were not able to locate suspects or victims in the incident.
