A 15-year-old boy died after he was struck by a SUV while skateboarding in Fulton northwest of Santa Rosa on Friday night.
The teen, a Santa Rosa resident, was on a skateboard on Fulton Road near River Road when he veered onto the roadway into the path of a northbound GMC Yukon around 9:15 p.m., California Highway Patrol officials said.
The teen died at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to the CHP. His name has not yet been released.
