Pedrick road head-on crash kills Davis woman

A Davis woman died in a head-on collision in unincorporated Solano County near Dixon Friday evening, the California Highway Patrol said.

The Solano County coroner’s Office identified her as 49-year-old Carmen Mina-Sangervasi.

Mina-Sangervasi was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta north on Pedrick Road north of Sievers Road around 7:15 p.m. when she crossed into the southbound lane and into the path of a Dodge Ram truck, CHP Sgt. Ricky Fondersmith said.

Mina-Sangervasi died at the scene at 7:42 p.m., and the occupants of the Dodge truck, also from Davis, complained of pain and were taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, Fondersmith said.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision, Fondersmith said.

The collision closed Pedrick Road between Currey and Tremont roads for about three hours, the CHP said.
