CHP investigates fatal Gilroy crash

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision near Gilroy Monday evening, a dispatcher said.

The collision was reported at 5:05 p.m. at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Fitzgerald Avenue, roughly a mile west of Highway 101 and a mile north of Gilroy.

The victim was pronounced deceased at 5:18 p.m.
