San Rafael police have arrested a San Leandro woman on suspicion of burglarizing and robbing a home last week.
Kayla Toi Walker, 21, was arrested Thursday at her home, San Rafael police Lt. Raffaello Pata said.
When the female resident of the Fair Drive home returned from the grocery store around 10 a.m. on Aug. 5 she saw a woman in a dark blue car backed in and parked in her driveway, Pata said.
The resident was confronted by two men who ran out of her house as she walked to the front door. One of the men tackled the woman, knocking her belongings to the ground, Pata said. The resident was injured but did not require medical attention at the scene.
The resident’s husband was inside the house but was not aware of the burglary or attack, Pata said.
Detectives identified the owner of the car in the driveway and later identified Walker as the woman who was inside the vehicle, Pata said.
The two black males who fled the house are still at large. Police posted their photos on their website.
Anyone with information is asked to call San Rafael police at (415) 485-3000 or send an anonymous tip to http://www.srpd.org/tips.
