Eight people in San Francisco’s Mission District were treated Saturday night for exposure to a substance firefighters have not identified or released the name of yet.
The exposure was first reported at 10:22 p.m. at 3543 18th St.
Fire officials do not believe the substance is a ‘hazardous material.’ The people were participating in a Quinceanera, or a celebration in the Mexican culture of a girl’s 15th birthday that indicates her passage into womanhood.
