A woman was killed in a suspected domestic violence incident Sunday afternoon in Blackhawk, an extremely wealthy planned community in Contra Costa County, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies responded to the 4300 block of Quail Run Lane and found a 69-year-old woman already dead. Detectives launched a homicide investigation, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators are still conducting interviews, but sheriff’s officials said it appears the victim and suspect knew each other. Whether deputies made any arrests was not disclosed.
The woman’s name and cause of death was also not disclosed.
