One man is dead after a shooting in Hayward late Friday night, according to police.

Police said officers responded at 10:53 p.m. to a report of shots fired near West Jackson Street and Cypress Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle in the street in the nearby 26000 block of Gading Road on reports of shots fired, according to police.
Inside the vehicle, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.
The officers attempted lifesaving measures on the victim, however he was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspects in custody and a description of the suspects was not available.
The homicide is the sixth in the Hayward this year, police said.
